Tugan zircon-ilmenite deposit was discovered in 1957 in Malinovka village, Tugan district. Sands with a high concentration of zircon and ilmenite were discovered by search robots. In the 90's, the composition of the main and related components of available raw materials at the field was studied. The content of zircon, ilmenite and rutile is not inferior to foreign deposits of this type. Zircon - 1,52 million tons, ilmenite - 3,61 million tons, rutile and и leucoxene - 588 million tons.
