"Giprocvetmet" JSC was chosen as the General Contractor for the full range of design and survey work, including: research work (RP), pilot tests for enrichment and hydrometallurgy, a complex of engineering surveys, design of linear facilities, production sites and facilities infrastructure, development of a full set of working documentation.

The strategic goal of the project is to revive the production of tungsten and molybdenum in a unique deposit by creating a modern, high-tech and environmentally friendly enterprise. Fulfilling the terms of the contract, "Giprocvetmet" JSC helps ensure the resource security of Russian industry (including the military-industrial complex) in terms of tungsten raw materials and creates a platform for the development of the production of high-tech import-substituting products from tungsten. This is a significant event for the socio-economic development of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The technological scope of the project "Development of the Tyrnyauz Tungsten-Molybdenum Field" includes an underground mine, an ore processing plant with a design capacity of 1.5 million tons of ore per year and a hydrometallurgical plant with a capacity of 4.5 thousand tons of tungsten trioxide per year.


Mining work
The field was explored in a combined way using surface and underground exploratory mine workings, as well as underground and surface wells. Further mining is supposed to be underground using reverse mining
